I had my mock transfer today. And boy, I was not expecting it to hurt!
At first, it just felt like mild period cramps, but then I think my RE hit the wall of my uterus or something because there was a stabbing pain so sharp and quick I nearly jumped out of my stirrups! Apparently my uterus is tilted. The RE said during the actual transfer he uses a much softer and more flexible catheter so I shouldn’t have the same pain then.
There was a TV in the exam room and it was tuned to the Canada/USA hockey game. I really don’t care about hockey, but I was glued to the screen trying to distract myself. It was a little surreal.
I don’t have any pictures of my visit (luckily for you!), so I thought I’d share the latest furbaby pic with you all. Here he is loving on my husband.

My mock transfer hurt too. I almost kicked him it hurt so bad! It was the most painful thing for me so far next to the HSG. I will say that the actual transfer was much less painful. Mine would have been pain free if they didn’t have to scrape out Crinone (ewww). The worst part is behind you! So excited for you Lisa!
Ewww scraping out Crinone! LOL. I hate Crinone! Thanks for the encouragement, Amanda.
Hope that pain leaves!!! I don’t have any wisdom for you, but thinking about you 🙂
Thanks, Caroline!
I just wish I could give you a big old hug. I dealt with secondary infertility and pregnancy loss for several years, and that pain is still with me. I am adding you to my daily prayer list. Stay strong in the Lord, friend!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the prayers.
Ugh, I’m sorry. My last IUI was incredibly painful because my uterus was tilted and they were out of the soft catheters. Nawt nice. I hope the pain subsided quickly! Good Luck!
Oh man, I can’t believe they ran out of softies for your IUI. Not fair! Hope you don’t have to go through that again.
