Well, I’m PUPO (Pregnant Until Proven Otherwise). We ended up doing a 3-day transfer yesterday morning and transferred three embryos. We put in one Grade-1 and two Grade-2. Our RE said that for my age, out of the pregnancies that occur, he usually has about a 36% twin rate and 12% triplet rate for transferring three.
At the beginning of all this, twins terrified me. They’re slightly less scary now, but now triplets are terrifying. But at this point, a triplet pregnancy is a risk we’re willing to take. If it happens, we’ll consider it a blessing. Of course, our main goal is ONE healthy baby and we felt that transferring three was the best possible way to hopefully make that happen.
As we tried to leave after the transfer, we realized we’d locked our keys in our car, in the ignition. Luckily, my mother-in-law works close to the RE’s office. We only had to wait at the RE’s for about 15 minutes. Well, later in the afternoon I was getting ready to go to my acupuncture appointment. (Hubby had gone back to work). I locked the door from the inside, walked outside, and yep… you guessed it– I didn’t have my keys. Mother-in-law to the rescue again! Luckily she laughed about it instead of getting mad.
Our first beta is in about two weeks. Just like before, we’ll probably keep the results to ourselves for a little while. I’ll post the outcome when we’re ready. In the meantime, I’ll continue to post interviews and other thoughts.
Thanks so much for all the thoughts and prayers! And P.S.- If you haven’t yet voted for RESOLVE’s Hope Award for Best Blog, I’d be honored if you voted for me. You can do it here!
