“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.” – Psalm 34:4 (NLT)
Nearly every book in the Bible has a verse that tells us not to fear. In fact, “Fear not!” is the most common command in Scripture. (Or, as one pastor has said, it’s the most loving invitation).
But infertility is scary. We’re facing the loss of our dreams, our health, and our bank account. Don’t we have every reason to be afraid?
When we’re tempted to give into infertility fear, let’s meditate instead on several promises.
God is our helper. We have no reason to fear anything other humans can do to us. (Hebrews 13:6)
God is always with us and will strengthen us when we need it (Isaiah 41:10)
God upholds us (Isaiah 41:13).
God walks with us and comforts us during scary times (Psalm 23:4).
He gives us peace instead of fear (John 14:27).
Which one of these promises most resonates with you? I tend to fear the journey more than the destination, so His promise of strength is the most precious to me.
As you pray today, ask God to deliver you from your infertility fears. Pick the promises that resonates most with you and thank God for that specific promise.
