If you’re like me, infertility has made you think a lot about nutrition, what you put into your body, and your environment. Making decisions about how to get healthier can be confusing and overwhelming, adding stress when you’re already stressed! It’s helpful when someone can give you a little guidance that nudges you towards better health and a body more primed for fertility.
That’s why I appreciated Fabulously Fertile: Supercharge Your Fertility Naturally by Sarah Clark. The book is easy-to-read and contains lots of practical ideas that serve as gentle fertility nutrition suggestions (not a diet!).
Part 1 of the book contains nutritional suggestions. Sarah talks about foods to avoid and foods and supplements to add. Of course, it’s always important to check with your doctor before starting any supplements. She also gives a brief overview of stress reduction methods and lists some questions to get you thinking about how to reduce your own personal stress level. Finally, she gives you several ideas on how to detoxify your environment and your body, and lists several resources for further inspiration and instruction.
Part 2 puts all the advice into practice and offers readers a 10-day challenge designed to identify any possible food intolerances. There are 10 day’s worth of recipes and some suggestions for gluten-free and vegetarian restaurants.
Sarah has been kind enough to offer to send a copy of the book to one lucky reader. You can enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter widget below. Use this link if you can’t see the widget. The giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada only.
