My friend Laura over at Making Baby Provence posted a few months ago about how she denied herself information during her recent IVF. She called it the “IVF Ignorance Plan.” The idea is that instead of focusing on all the details that overwhelm and distract us during IVF, she focuses on trusting in God’s plan for her. This helps her remain more positive instead of freaking out over things fertilization rates and egg count. Of course, she had to get her husband and doctor to agree to the plan. Check out her post for all the details of how she did it.
I was really intrigued by this idea and asked Laura if I could post about it. I’d really like to know what you all think. Do you think you could go through an IVF cycle without knowing all the details? Would ignorance help you be more positive? Please share your thoughts in the comments below, making sure to be sensitive and respectful of Laura and her decisions.
