I know there are a lot of you out there struggling with anxiety and faith. Some of you are anxious about upcoming treatments. Some of you are anxious about affording treatment. I’ve heard from a few of you who’ve had early, promising betas and you’re anxious about whether or not they’ll stick.
I hope that you will take comfort in Hebrews 13:6. Here it is in several different translations. I love how the different translations help us understand better what the verse is really saying:
“So we can say with all confidence, The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” (NLT)
“So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?” (AMP)
“Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?” (MSG)
I encourage anyone who’s struggling with anxiety to meditate on these verses today.
