I love this quote from Anne Lamott’s book, Stitches: A Handbook on Meaning, Hope, and Repair. Infertility is one large, unresolved problem, isn’t it?
Has infertility made you more mature? Or has it made you more bitter? My answer probably depends on the day.
Even now, six months after the birth of our daughter, I still struggle sometimes with pregnancy announcement from someone who I know didn’t try long. Or from someone who wasn’t even trying.
I’m not sure why this is, or if I’ll ever be rid of the negative feelings that can sometimes arise.
Lord, help us to turn our infertility into maturity!
Just some food for thought. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment below.

I like to think it’s made me more mature. Announcements that once caused me to disappear from social media don’t seem to hurt as much. It’s strengthened my faith and my marriage and I think I handle things more maturely as we continue this journey. I’m thankful for this road, as it’s brought me closer to my love.
